Licensing

Open source under Apache-2.0.

Orchetree software is open source under the Apache License 2.0. You may use, modify, redistribute, sell, and host it. The license distributed with the source repository is the controlling legal text.

Use and self-host

Run Orchetree on your own infrastructure, deploy it inside a company or client environment, and use it for commercial or non-commercial work.

Modify and integrate

Inspect and modify the source, connect it to your systems, and include it in applications, workflows, integrations, and consulting engagements.

Redistribute and sell

Distribute original or modified copies, charge for them, and offer support or other commercial services while following the Apache-2.0 notice requirements.

Provide hosted services

Operate Orchetree or a fork as a hosted service. Independent services must use a distinct identity and must not imply that they are the official Orchetree Cloud service.

What redistribution requires

  • Provide recipients with a copy of the Apache License 2.0.
  • Mark modified files with prominent notices that they were changed.
  • Retain applicable copyright, patent, trademark, and attribution notices.
  • Include the repository NOTICE information when the license requires it.

Brand and trademarks

You may truthfully say that a solution is built with or compatible with Orchetree. The name and logos are not part of the Apache-2.0 grant and cannot be used to make an independent product appear official.

Cloud and third parties

Orchetree Cloud is governed by separate service terms. AI providers, dependencies, and other connected services retain their own licenses, pricing, quotas, and usage terms.

Website content

Website copy, design, logos, screenshots, and media are not included in the source-code license unless a specific asset says otherwise.

Warranty and liability

The self-hosted software is provided without warranties, subject to the complete repository license. Operators remain responsible for deployment, security, provider use, and compliance in their environment.
